There have been over 550 Installations of FLEXISADDLE™ Random Packing for RTO applications.  State of the Art quality and process controls help produce the premier saddles in the industry.  

 

The latest Koch Knight innovation is the Patented (Number 6,547,222)  Low Pressure Drop FLEXISADDLE™, or LPD.  This product allows for 20% or more in Lower Pressure Drop, while still maintaining similar Heat Recovery vs. standard 1" Saddles.  

 

FLEXERAMIC® Structured Packing has been the leader in structured packing for a decade in the RTO industry where particulate plugging is a concern.  

 

OSB Dryer Applications

 

With over 15 OSB Dryer RTO Installations, our patented 1" LPD has become the workhorse of the industry.  There is no better choice for this application for reliability, cost and performance.  For the Wood Products Industry, Koch Knight  has come up with the LPD GR Saddle.  A random packed media featuring 20% Lower Pressure Drop than a 1" Saddle, and made out of a High Alumina Material that is resistant to alkali attack.  

 

Ethanol applications that can feature particulate laden gas streams will benefit greatly from Patented 1" LPD™ and FLEXERAMIC® Structured Packing that provides greater resistance to fouling than standard saddles or monolith.

FLEXERAMIC® Structured Packing allows for more efficient use of the bed via alternating 45 degree plates that utilize ceramic bonds, not glue that comes apart in service.  These plates allow for even gas distribution throughout the bed for better HRE and Pressure drop, even in heavy particulate applications.

Monolith

Honeycomb Monolith provides outstanding pressure drop and heat recovery due to straight drop channels and high surface area.
